Let's say ...
Scenario 1. Say you’re pulling a reagent out of the refrigerator during a defrost cycle, or just after someone held the door open for a while and want to use your reagent in the next step of an experiment. But while handling it, you notice its not very cold. What happened? What do you do?
Scenario 2. Say you’re running a tissue culture experiment and you are ready to assay your cells. Without knowing it, your labmates have been in and out of the tissue culture CO2 incubator all morning and your temperature-sensitive cells have been exposed to all sorts of temperature fluctuations. Later you find that your PCR results aren't reproducible. What could have gone wrong?
Scenario 3. Say your lab has reagents or drugs that are FDA-regulated. And you are required to carefully control and log the temperature of your refrigerators, incubators, or ovens. The air temperature always changes throughout the day, as you know. And your temperature log sometimes looks questionable. Well, not anymore. The bead tray keeps a constant temperature making you look good. Real good.
How it works.
You’ll notice how simply the bead trays work. It all begins with the beads and their integration into your standard laboratory equipment. You fill up your bead trays, then place them on the shelves and allow them to equilibrate to the set temperature for a few hours. You can replace all your old test tube racks because the beads will hold everything perfectly in place. You may need different sizes of trays depending on what size and type of equipment you use. If you have a small frig under the bench, for example, that contains a few microfuge tubes you need to protect, you may only need the smallest tray. StayTemp™ Trays are available in 3 sizes: 1 L, 2 L, and 4 L.
