Thawing Cryo-vials >>

Its important to thaw cryo-vials fast. With Beads its simple and vials stay dry.

"I work in a small (1 person- me!) lab in a long term neurological hospital. I also do some research projects for one of the physicians here. I use the Lab Armor in a one block heat bath that holds the glass ampule for external QC for the blood gas machine. I had room temperature issues last week when the out side temperature high was O degrees and the low was -11. The room temp was reading 13.7C or about 56 degrees F. The heat bath and the Lab Armor Beads held those ampule right on 25.0 degrees C./77 degrees F.,and I had no problem with the controls. The other issue is water around the neck of the ampule that I can never seem to dry enough. With the Lab Armor Beads there is no issue with water around the neck, and there is no issue with the ampule bobbing around and falling over in the water to begin with. As Infection Control officer, I also like the fact that there is no green scum growing in the bath and affecting who-knows-what. No water, no problem!
